Gordon Robert Douglas

Passing away peacefully on January 25th, 2016 at the age of 58 years. Gordon Robert Douglas, son of Betty Flanders and of the late Alexander Douglas, was a life-loving man who touched and enriched the lives of countless people. He enjoyed his partial retirement for several years before he was faced with a two-year fight against brain cancer.

He leaves to mourn his two sons: Robert (Heather) and Bradley (Stacy). His mother: Betty Flanders. His grandchildren: Logan, Kaylee, Tristan & Saimone. His brothers: Alexander (Nicole) and James (Jean). His fiancee: Sandra Bergeron, other family members and innumerable close friends.

A private graveside service will take place in the spring, where family and guests will gather to lay Gordon to rest beside his father at the Applegrove cemetery in Ogden.

The family would like to thank the palliative care unit at the CSSS Memphrémagog along with Dr. Fortin for the kind and professional care given to Gordon.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, (3330, King Ouest, Bureau 130, Sherbrooke, QC. J1L-1C9) or to the Applegrove cemetery committee (contact Douglas Elliott 819-876-5019) would be greatly appreciated by the family.

We were deeply sadened to learn of Gordon's passing. Our sympaties to his family. Gordon was always so helpful - can't count the times he either helped us directly himself or gave us good advice as to where to get the help we needed - he knew everyone! And always a pleasure to chat with him. We will miss him.

we are very sorry for your lost in your family and we know he was a very good man and a good father but as right now he is in heaven with god and we all well meet him again when its our time to go R.I.P Gordon Douglas
